Onnen maa

The Land of Happiness is a film about music and the early 1960s rural landscapes of Northern Karelia. Tenho Hirvola (Pertti Koivula), who has moved to a city, returns for the summer to his home farm, where he is expected to work as hard as his diligent brother Aarne (Taisto Reimaluoto). However, instead of work, Tenho is more interested in tango, dancing and especially the pretty milkmaid Virva (Katariina Kaitue). (Tampere Film Festival)
