Lucas, a 9-year-old city boy, is afraid of death and tries to stay awake at all costs. To alleviate his anxiety, he follows his therapist’s suggestion to go on a vacation with his mother Olivia and his new pet to visit his grandfather's ranch for the first time. After they get there, Lucas discovers that his grandfather is actually the one who has been preparing to die. (Dallas International Film Festival)
