Rudolf Hrušínský stunningly portrays a bad actor who doesn't know he's bad and acts as good as he can, even though it's not very good, and when the audience rejects his miserable performance, he can't figure out what is going on. He thinks his character is affecting them so strongly. It's a very good production, but there are few people in the lead role that would make it that way. ()
