The picture is based on a pedantic view of art and an insensitive treatment of a child's individuality and fantasy. A boy obsessed with the imagination of a pink elephant keeps putting his imagination on paper. Neither his teacher nor his parents understand him. They have him "cured" and the boy becomes colour-blind. However, after a natural impulse his playfulness and imaginative powers come back. (texto oficial de la distribuidora)
