Sinopsis(1)

In Face Value, a documentary by director Johan van der Keuken, we are presented with an articulated made-up world. The film takes place in a made-up Europe, a place that theoretically is a mashup of major cities such as London and Prague. However, the main focus lies on the people inhabiting this place. Through these inhabitants we look into the complexity of identity, the external and internal fears carried in every individual. Through this fear one must continue to go about their day, struggling to carve out their own place. (Stockholm Film Festival)
