Tóni is a delivery man in a furniture shop. As he has no place to go, he spends the nights in an antique bed in the shop window. Having caught by his boss, he rents a room and begins to court the granddaughter of his land lady, Juliska. After work Tóni takes car washing in a garage, but she misunderstands the late night arrivals. On the seventh, the lucky day of Tóni, he is thrown out from his job, from the rent and Juliska makes a row as well.
