90 minutes of unbelievable emotion. The premise itself is pretty lame and the bland execution doesn't help the final impression, although the actors are obviously trying (the only interesting character is Forest Whitaker). But they are trying in a bad movie. ()
It's not very inventively filmed, but it certainly serves its purpose. The contradictions, the emptiness, the distrust in rediscovering oneself, the obscuring of the truth to ease the pain... Emotionally, a pretty relentless film with the excellent Dakota Fanning and Forest Whitaker. ()
A well-written story of a tragic hero played brilliantly by Forest Whitaker, which was unfortunately not enough. The rest of the plot lines were too clichéd, predictable and almost emotionless for my taste. Perhaps only Guy Pearce and Jackie Earle Haley had something to offer. As always, I liked Zarvos' music and I must praise the gradual revelation of what actually happened in the diner, which the director did a great job with. ()
An unusual story about how a single event can completely shift people's perspectives. Some even start believing in angels. ()
