Sinopsis(1)

As The Recruiter opens on views of rural Houma, Louisiana, we learn that the U.S. Army is currently encountering a recruiting crisis of "historic proportions" as they try to maintain troop levels in Iraq and Afghanistan. At a local high school, Sgt. First Class Clay Usie greets students between classes, making connections that, hopefully, will lead to future enlistments. As one of the most successful Army recruiters in the country, Sgt. Usie considers it his mission to find patriots who want to serve their country. Married and the father of two, Sgt. Usie returned from active service to his hometown of Houma to represent the Army in every aspect of his life. He meets with his recruits at least twice a week to prepare them for basic training, stressing that his recruits should always strive to "exceed the standard." "They tell me what they want," he says, "and I show them how the Army can help them achieve this goal." Over the course of the film, Sgt. Usie extols and cajoles his way through the recruitment process. (texto oficial de la distribuidora)
