I've already enjoyed Gary's ex, played by the sexy Paula Marshall, in Nip/Tuck, so all I had to do was find a good time, and voila, the humor is there. Because Gary Brooks is good. Unfortunately, the second half of Season 1 takes on a whole new style of a basic story, and the less opportunity there is to confront Jaime King, who is gorgeous also outside of Sin City, the less everything else works. Of the guest appearances, I appreciated Jessica Collins (N/T again) and Ian Gomez from Cougar Town. It's worse with child actors Ryan Malgarini and Kathryn Newton, I'm downright sick of Matthew Lillard's performance, and I regularly hate Al Madrigal. Fortunately, a small crisis was averted before the end of Season 1, Kevin Sorbo (super sexy under any circumstances) showed up, and Gary and Allison found new (and unexpected) associations to the one-liners.
