inglés Liebmann's ancient television production surprises us even after all these years with its lightness, wit, and a sufficient amount of taste. It’s no wonder that such fresh affairs tempted the audience to stay at home and not go to the movie theater to see the wooden spectacles, which, fearing the competition, only worked in terms of technical progress. However, in addition to the charming story of the life of Johann Strauss Jr., we also have a great cast. Patrice Munsel and Jarmila Novotná were the stars of the Metropolitan, and together they listened to the ovation for "Die Fledermaus," for example. This is a B&W recording of the November 5, 1955, live broadcast, the only time it was broadcast in color. ()
