Sinopsis(1)

Princess Elisabeth has been betrothed to Prince Leopold for many years. When she travels to her wedding, her mother cannot accompany her for she is ill. The princess takes three things with her as protection: the talking horse Falada, three mysterious drops of blood and the maid Magdalena.

As a child the maid had suffered great injustice from the royal family, and she uses the journey to take her revenge. She forces the princess to trade places with her. The cunning maid now parades as the princess and future bride at Leopold's court while she sends Elisabeth to mind the geese. The father of the bridegroom, King Gustav, takes a great liking to the resolute young lady and doesn't doubt for a moment that she is the rightful successor to his deceased wife. Yet the destiny of the true princess is not so easily foiled: for true love will always find a way. Prince Leopold falls in love with the beautiful goose girl, and his best friend, the goose boy, also realises that Elisabeth and Leopold are meant for one another. But how should Elisabeth overcome the sinister power of Magdalena and find her happiness as the rightful bride? Realising her own strength, she becomes the mistress of her fate and, following uncommon paths, she finds her place as Leopold's queen. (texto oficial de la distribuidora)
