I was pretty content with this episode, but I've got a few thoughts on it. Personally, I think the creators could've toned down the action a bit — some scenes felt totally unnecessary to me. Like, did we really need that ridiculously overengineered execution scene with the mini-ballista (or giant crossbow)? However, I will say, I missed Mycroft in this one.

I didn't really like The Blind Banker until the second time, when I became more familiar with it and, in addition to trying to understand the plot, I was able to focus on the relationship between Holmes and Watson, which shifted again. It's especially nice to see how Holmes gets on Watson's nerves, but also constantly impresses him.
