Trumbo was certainly not a bad screenwriter, but this film, which is significantly influenced by the war and essentially only presents the dialogues of women who remained after the men went to war, just couldn't captivate me. It's as if every scene had to hide a bit more than it actually did, and so their storytelling ability wasn't as strong. ()
