It’s a disaster when they arrest your husband and sentence him to several years in prison. But I had no idea that it’s an even bigger disaster when you’re a black woman. The first half was about self-pity, but the second one showcased that people are selfish creatures. By the way, the second one was way more interesting. But overall, it was mediocre. ()
A well-made film that I simply found to be about nothing. There is a very dramatic romantic story here, where in this case, dramatic means it's devoid of humor. Even though the setting suggested it, surprisingly, it's not as intense as it could be. The filmmaking quality here didn't impress me much due to the story. ()
