Sout-e payan

Sahar, an Iranian documentarian, learns about the tragic fate of young Malineh while producing a film. The girl's mother is charged with murder and is to be hanged. Despite peoples’ disapproval, sympathetic Sahar decides to help the girl get the money necessary to buy her mother out of the crime, but the amount required is too big. The Iranian actress and director, Niki Kamiri, known to Czech audiences as well, shot her third film in a very realistic, almost documentary style. The viewer is mercilessly engulfed in the dramatic race against time in contemporary Teheran. (Febiofest)
