Sinopsis(1)

The director of Wasteland, Lucy Walker, has once again created a film, which leaves a lasting mark in the mind of the viewer. The tsunami took away a great amount of security – it rampaged a country and destroyed lives. Many lost a relative or a friend. Sadness and longing reflect from the words. And still, after the destruction and death, like every spring, the cherry blossoms are budding and opening up. The Japanese gather to admire the trees that they love and the beauty they create. The blossoming of the thousand-year-old cherry trees, tells one about continuity, the beauty of life and perhaps about the order of it. The cherry trees must be taken care of, because their grace creates solace.
