Seven-year-old Jace has been plagued with misfortune and violence since he was born. After the violent murder of his family, a child trafficker takes Jace under his wing and sends him to Athens where his next nightmare begins. The adult Jace is cast into life in the Greek underworld with its murders, fear and no way to escape. This is a postmodern Odyssey about a present-day Oliver Twist, making his way through the Athenian underworld with no family waiting for him at the end of the road. It's a journey without hope for a better future, allegorical depiction of present days, a man's struggle to find a place of his own, somewhere where he can belong. (Days of European Film)
