Not only does Martinov caustically lampoon North Korean propaganda films, but he is also the first to use their methods to hold a broken mirror to egocentric Western culture. He intertwines, without scruples, scenes of mass executions with the faces of current politicians, using the commentary of a fictional North Korean psychologist to give the final pictures a hallmark of verifiable truth.
