En plena Segunda Guerra Mundial los nazis deciden suplantar las prostitutas polacas de un famoso burdel, Salón Kitty, por bellas e inteligentes alemanas que, además, deberán simpatizar con el partido nazi. Pero Kitty, la dueña del burdel, no estará dispuesta a aceptar las nuevas reglas y decide plantar cara a todo el cuerpo nazi. The below-average script and unremarkable direction make it hard to perceive the film as a drama or melodrama, and as an anti-war film, it is more of an insult to the subject. As for daring erotica, it's not really present here, but on the other hand, the girls in the film are quite attractive and capable of delivering at least some decent acting performances in certain cases. The film does have a little bit of sensuality in the way it appears in the arranged shots of glamorous women by photographer Helmut Newton, thanks to the makeup, costumes, and posing of the women in front of the camera. Overall impression: 30%.

This disgusting deviation by Brass is perceived today as a parody, whether unintentional or otherwise. At times it might seem like a scandalous subject, or perhaps a film with the acting darlings Visconti, Bergman or Pasolini, but don't be fooled by that. The only one who did a little better was Teresa Ann Savoy, who made it all the way to Caligula. Otherwise, Kitty meant the end for the former artists. And the plot? Hilarious.

Tinto Brass wasn't always just a pig, but maybe he was trying to convey something with his films. At least that's the feeling I had with the film Salon Kitty, where surprisingly the best erotic scenes, which are still quite restrained for Tinto, are not the highlight, but rather the "visit" scene, which manages to leave a lasting impression. Unfortunately, the film overall did not.
