Garden Lovers is a tribute to relationships, love and play, set in the framework of gardening. The documentary never loses its comic undertone in observing the odd bunch of couples and their passions. Shot in beautiful, lingering frames, the fertility and life of nature intertwines with the couples' stories. The garden reflects the many ways in which life can flourish: it gives strength and unites, but it also becomes a meeting place for farewells. (Helsinki International Film Festival)
