Forty-something Shaul is a melancholic dreamer, with a tendancy to run whenever things go wrong. One day he decides to visit his father, whom he has not seen for 5 years. In Haifa, he discovers a transformed father and a possible new life. Living alone after his divorce, forty-something Saul works on the front desk in a health clinic and is trying to get by. His loneliness, however, does not go away. He decides to visit his father Simon with whom he's never had a close relationship and whom he holds responsible for all of his troubles. Simon and his new partner Bathy, with her magical amulets, decide to cure him of his woes thanks to art therapy and precious stones. At first, the Bathy's efforts to get the two men talking fall flat, but when Saul injures himself by slipping on a fish at the local market and his own young daughter, Michal, arrives suddenly, a thaw looks imminent...
