Murder at Midnight

An evening of fun and entertainment turns into one of terror for the high-society guests of a party at an atmospherically eerie mansion when the murder scene in a play performed for party-goers becomes real. In the play, the clock strikes midnight and the victim is shot through the heart. The audience goes wild over the spectacularly acted death scene - until they realize that it's no act at all. Everyone at the party is held under suspicion, and when the top suspect is found dead, authorities believe that it's a simple case of murder-suicide - until the second victim's lawyer steps in and reveals that someone had threatened the man. Embroiled in a full-blown double murder mystery, criminologist Phillip Montrose (Hale Hamilton) wastes no time trying to solve the complex case, but the killer is clever, always staying one step ahead of his police pursuers.
