Sinopsis(1)

May 1946. The first postwar elections in Czechoslovakia. Four parties in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, four in Slovakia. A new opportunity to participate by casting a blank ballot. Shot on commission by the Ministry of Interior and Information, the film calls on people the participate in the elections, introduces the candidates through their own speeches and slogans, and also offers a behind-the-scenes look at election preparations and the way in which votes were counted.
Prague comes to life as an urban audience – facades, street corners, the frontages of department stores, streetcars and steamships are all plastered in election advertising. The city shouts with slogans. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
