It's a shame that what the film tries to convey could be said quite easily in just a few seconds, maybe minutes if I'm being too generous. Helen Hunt doesn't handle the directing aspect too poorly, but the problem lies more in the screenplay, which doesn't have much to offer for an hour and a half, and instead of captivating or amusing the audience, it just bores them.
