Deep Love

Asia, a diving instructor working with disabled people, is the life partner of Janusz (aged 58), an experienced diver who suffered a stroke three years ago. Janusz is barely able to move his right leg and his right hand is almost completely disabled. He also has problems with speaking, not being able to utter a fully comprehensible sentence. Janusz only has one dream – to come back with his friend Artur to the place where he dived for the last time before his stroke, that is to the dangerous yet cult in status Blue Hole in Dahab. Going under water in this spot constitutes a massive challenge even for divers in perfect physical condition and less than 1% of all divers go below deeper down than 100m. Diving in the depths of Blue Hole can only be compared to climbing an eight-thousander. Bringing a disabled person along to these depths will be a world-scale precedent. Will Asia, despite the dangers entailed by a disabled person's diving to large depths, support Janusz in making his greatest dream come true? What's more important – someone's safety or freedom and the chance to follow our dreams without which life wouldn't be worth living? What would each of us do in such a situation?
