Petőfi '73

The film was made for the 150th anniversary of Petőfi's birth. Six hundred students from the Petőfi High-School in Pápa and from three high-schools in Budapest, Kölcsey, Móricz and Toldy, revive the events in Petőfi's life in a "revolutionary Passion-play". In a performance in jeans, the students reinterpret Petőfi's revolutionary character and discuss their own concepts about revolution, their possibilities for action and their relation to society.
