Parcours d'amour

Growing old alone is a distressing thought for many individuals. How do people actually deal with having nobody at their side? Eugène, Gino and Christiane have left the prime of their lives way, way behind them. This doesn’t prevent them, however, from spending their nights in such Parisian dance venues as ‘Le Memphis’ or the ‘Chalet du Lac’. Here they meet like-minded people with whom they can share their longing for togetherness. Professional dancer Michel has created a business out of it: As a gigolo, he glides with lonely ladies over the parquet dance floor. These men and women overcome almost every obstacle in their search for love, regardless of whether or not they come closer to reaching their goal. Director Bettina Blümner accompanied her protagonists over the course of a year, and presents in Parcours D'Amour a moving insight into the (love)lives of her leading characters.
