This is exactly the type of film that some actors can make a name for themselves in. Choose an interesting character and show that I have the acting – and possibly singing – talent in me. And Queen Latifah proved this, it's just that the film overall is somewhat predictable and sentimental where it is expected. Rough, but only a little. ()
