Quite a well-captured environment, but not very gritty, which perhaps bothered me a bit. It's as if the film is more of a tea party than a truly gritty neighborhood drama. But lowriders have something special about them, and I've always liked them. Maybe that's why it's a pity that they don't play a slightly more important role in the film.
