Organising an international marathon in the middle of tense Bethlehem seems like a crazy idea. One can't even find a contiguous 42-km stretch of road in the city that doesn't cross an Israeli military checkpoint. Danish women Signe and Lærke nevertheless plunge headlong into the preparations. They believe that freedom of movement is a fundamental human right – for men and women alike. But how will they get Palestinian women to take part in the race? Can the organisers overcome the region's thorny politics and security obstacles? This lively and optimistic film is a story about how, even in the midst of chaos, big dreams can come true.
