Almost all Finns have their roots in the countryside and in farming. The film speaks about the farmers´ struggle to survive, to pass on a certain lifestyle from one generation to the next. The life of the farmers, fishermen and people who stayed in the villages is filmed as a poem. (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam)
