I wasn't exactly thrilled with the first episode of the second season. Although the atmosphere of New York in 1977 was perfect, the plot was somewhat slow. The creators moved the story forward a few years during the break between seasons and at times it seemed like they caught themselves off guard. The first episode was simply dull.
