What is above us? The author of this document attempts to answer the question both on the philosophical and factual level. She asks everyone regardless of their age, education or faith. An astronomer, a castle warden, a hotdog seller – each one has their own version. There is also a group of those who face up to this question and seek an answer actively via so called stratocaching, an aerial analogy to the well known treasure hunter phenomenon. They release a weather balloon into the stratosphere with a suspended probe and a handful of stratocaches. These are dispersed to various regions after the balloon bursts in the stratosphere and can be found again with the help of GPS. The attached cameras make it possible to watch unique shots from the Earth's gaseous envelope and reveal what truly is, or is not above us. (Academia Film Olomouc)
