Sinopsis(1)

Burma, a country rich in mineral resources, is surrounded by several major powers that have used the country's wealth for their own benefit and prosperity. The documentary chronicles the fate of the people living along the newly built China oil pipeline leading across a large part of northern Burma. In areas where until recently, the primary livelihood was traditional agriculture, now massive industrial construction is fundamentally changing the lives of local residents, whether they like it or not. The film follows not only their efforts to learn to live with dignity under new conditions, but also to discover that the situation did not spring from the helplessness of the Burmese government, but rather a conscious decision to enrich a handful of powerful people.
