14-year-old Rayan misses the time when he walked along the Aral Sea's shores together with his mother and looked at the beautiful ships with their nice flags. Now you can only see wrecks at the horizon beyond the dry desert. When everything was at its best his mother died in a car accident right before his eyes. Behind the steering wheel was a policeman who bribed Rayan's father into silence. Now, as a teenager, Rayan is told he only has a few months to live, and that he doesn't have money for the operation that could save his life. He resolves to take revenge on those who killed his mother. A poetic depiction of a very young man's burning mind. (Göteborg Film Festival)
