At one point it has a beautiful picture, at another it kills itself with terrible transitions, at one point it affects the viewer a lot, at another it leaves them untouched, at one point Komatsu acts well, the other time you don't know if you trust her as far as you can throw her... I haven't seen such a terribly unbalanced film in a long time. I could go on at length about what the bard might have wanted to tell us, but I don't think it makes sense. Maybe I saw something in it, maybe I wanted to see something in it, but in the end it was still useless to me because I walked away from the film feeling like I didn't really know if I liked it.
