Tanaka está pasando por un momento difícil tratando de mantener a su hermana menor Mitsuko, recientemente arrestada y detenida en la cárcel. Un periodista de investigación, se sumerge en la investigación de un impactante caso de asesinato a una família perfecta. Tanaka entrevista a sus amigos y conocidos, y a medida que se desarrollan las historias de su verdadera naturaleza, comienza a descubrir que la familia no era tan ideal como se creía. The Japanese cinematography in turn amazes and disappoints me. This is the second time I am watching a Japanese movie with an interesting criminal plot which was destroyed by an unbalanced storyline and the inability to tell a relatively simple story. The first time it was Rage and this time I have a problem with this movie. Traces of Sin has such a simple storyline and such a good director of photography that even though I suffered because of the confusing script, I was amazed by some very nice shots.
