inglés I've read more than enough about this documentary. Since today it's virtually impossible to separate the legend and the accretion of stardust from all that actually happened, one can only smile at how Elvis supposedly "set the stage for the 1960s," while at the same time "smashing the 60s in their heyday," or "there was nothing before him and nothing after him..." Anyway, Baz Luhrmann also made the preparation of this TV comeback one of the highlights of his film. The bottom line is that it's worth it. In terms of Elvis's career, this is a significant milestone primarily because he returned to concert performances with this act and gradually decided to end his film career. He found out what suited him better, what he was still good enough for, and that even though his first generation of fans has grown up a bit, he still has and will continue to have legions of loyalists falling at his feet. For my part, I have to say that as I see young Elvis purely as unbridled hormones, I'm hearing more about this mature man, honed, moreover, by a decade spent in Hollywood. His performance here is fun, sexy, and full of artistic promise for the future. It’s no wonder he made everyone stare in shock that day. ()
