Johann Sebastian Bach's monumental Mass in B minor recorded in the splendid Baroque abbey church of Diessen in Bavaria. Karl Richter, one of the greatest Bach experts of the 20th century, conducts the Munich Bach Chorus and the Munich Bach Orchestra; soloists: Gundula Janowitz (soprano), Hertha Töpper (alto), Horst Laubenthal (tenor), Hermann Prey (bass).
