Season 1 (2017) (S01)

inglés I would probably describe the first season as weird. About halfway through, I was convinced that I would give a “Boo!” rating to the rest of the episodes, too, but either the second half was better, or it seemed to me that way because I got numb. If the authors’ intention was for me to root for Mary, they didn’t succeed. Despite all the talk about reducing suffering and about people’s freedom to make their own decisions, you could hear the rustling of those thousands of Canadian dollar bills way too often. ()

Bloody Mary (2017) (S01E01)

inglés The first episode could be quite decent, but instead of the announced drama, I got a weird attempt at comedy. Basic problems were already addressed by 6thSun in their comment, so I won't repeat them, I'll just add that I was surprised that not only both "facilitators" behave completely out of line, but the same goes for the police as well. ()

The River Styx (2017) (S01E02)

inglés The behavior of all the actors was even more outrageous than in the pilot, I seriously don't know why all the characters have to suffer from varying degrees of mental retardation. Personally, I support the idea of assisted suicide, but once you start paying for this act, there is a decent chance that some departures from life won't be so voluntary anymore. I really didn't understand why Ben visited Mary at the end of the episode. I think even the screenwriter doesn't know. ()

Wave the White Flag (2017) (S01E03)

inglés No, it's clear that the creators are trying to make each episode more absurd than the previous one. So far, they are succeeding. If the firefighters also leave after Mary in the next episode, I think it will be a complete lineup. What do you think Mary will insufficiently hide from her daughters next time? A video with euthanasia or a spicy recording with Ben? I'm really curious. ()

Raised by Wolves (2017) (S01E04)

inglés No, I don't know, I'm still fruitlessly looking for that drama. Moreover, I have an undeniable feeling that the scriptwriter was on drugs or that different laws apply in Canada than in the rest of the civilized world, because I can't otherwise explain Ben Wesley's behavior. In any case, I'm probably getting used to it, since I added one piece. ()

The Judas Cradle (2017) (S01E05)

inglés Okay, it's official, I'm getting used to it. For the first time, I didn't feel like I was watching a failed comedy, the fifth episode wasn't a masterpiece, but it was the best so far. For the first time, I also felt like I was watching a drama, only a shame about the awkward acting. ()

Morning Glory (2017) (S01E06)

inglés Please, a few more episodes and I could have been a fan of this series. Even in the final episode, the plot was nicely drawn out, although in no way as stupid as in the second and third episodes. I would say that after the finale of the first season, I am cautiously and pleasantly satisfied, even though I expected a big letdown. ()

Season 2 (2018) (S02)

inglés After watching the first season, I expected the second one to be worse, but I was still surprised by the extremely poor quality of some episodes. The season finale made both seasons look like a total farce. With such a development, I expect euthanasia to be performed at crowded stadiums in the next season. ()

The Means (2018) (S02E01)

inglés I wasn't exactly holding my breath for a miracle, and well, I didn't get one. But hey, the first episode was surprisingly alright. Still, I can't shake off the feeling that those annoyingly clueless teenagers are dragging things down a notch. It could've been even better without them, you know? ()

The Connection (2018) (S02E02)

inglés The second episode brought me back to reality with a thud. At first, I thought it was just me, but now it's crystal clear: the confusion lies squarely with the writer. The whole plotline with Olivia and Mary's blackmailing? Utterly nonsensical. And don't even get me started on Nicole. Plus, the whole bisexual-lesbian duo has now morphed into a trio. ()

Twin Flames (2018) (S02E03)

inglés Hmm, I'm scratching my head here. Either the creators don't have it in them to craft a coherent story with some basic logic, or they're having a laugh at our expense. My money's on the former. I mean, seriously, Des shows up at Mary's place, finds it swarming with teens, and nonchalantly starts raiding hidden stashes of drugs. Yeah, happens all the time... ()

Ride or Die (2018) (S02E04)

inglés It's not just that half the cast seems to have facial expressions on permanent vacation, but the script is starting to eat its own tail. In the first season, assisted suicide was a big no-no and had to be kept under wraps, but now they've turned it into a family get-together with the cops pitching in. So, suddenly, it's all good? ()

Come to Jesus (2018) (S02E05) ¡Boo!

inglés This time around, the creators seemed to go overboard. I get it's a Canadian show, but some of the police procedures felt a bit far-fetched. And that whole attempt to mend things with the daughter? Pathetic. As for that operation scene... "What? It's bleeding a lot? Vein's nicked? No worries, we'll just stitch it up. And voila! Good as new!" Not even Wolverine could compete with that. ()

Fatal Flaw (2018) (S02E06) ¡Boo!

inglés This is getting downright ridiculous. Mary and Des seem to wear gloves to every event, and their penchant for destroying evidence is just plain baffling when everyone in town knows about what they do. And don't even get me started on their wiretapping antics. But the final straw for me? That farewell gathering for Brandon. As they say, "subtlety is key." ()
