A lake of acid, deserts of salt and views from the International Space Station show the nature of the processes taking place on our home planet. The processes that allow us to live and, among other things, breathe on Earth. The vital amount of oxygen in the atmosphere is the result of an interaction between phenomena that seemingly have little in common.
