Friends are the family you choose, but you have to be cautious when making that choice, as the protagonist Franky finds out for himself. As far as the development of the relationship between Franky and Ballas is concerned, the film reminded me at times of Summer Storm, but it got under my skin more. Giant Little Ones doesn't offer anything unseen in terms of story, but on the other hand it has believable performances – besides Josh Wiggins, Kyle MacLachlan as his father impressed me the most. I was a bit puzzled by the slightly sudden ending for my taste. Better three stars! ()
