Sinopsis(1)

This documentary offers insights into the history of Diller Scofidio + Renfro, and their unique process of reimagining the public identities of two major New York urban spaces. The architects together with the landscape architect James Corner managed to connect the public life in the midst of vibrant New York with nature in a unique way. While preserving the historical space of a former railway, the High Line has been transformed into a safe green oasis for various activities for locals as well as tourists. The film also focuses on the reconstruction of the Lincoln Center, the world’s largest complex for performing arts. The almost simultaneous completion of the renovation of the High Line and revitalisation and expansion of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts galvanised the public’s attention.
