Starring Will Tudor and Poppy Lee Friar as the iconic leads, This feature-length film explores Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean’s early years and the creative impetus that finally drove them to become ice dancing royalty. Written by William Ivory, the inspirational drama follows the pair’s humble beginnings and family life in Nottingham and how they came together to become Olympic champions. Acting royalty, Anita Dobson takes the role of Miss Perry, Jayne’s first coach at the Nottingham Ice Stadium, whilst Stephen Tompkinson plays Jayne’s father George and Jo Hartley plays her mum Betty. Dean Andrews and Christine Bottomley play Chris’s parents, Colin and Mavis, and Jaime Winstone is Janet Sawbridge, the ice dancing instructor who pairs Chris and Jayne together for the first time.
