When a weeping, plastic Madonna statue is inexplicably found in the home of a wanted Mafia boss, she is taken away for analysis. The people who will get the opportunity to meet the weeping Madonna include Italy’s severely pressured Prime minister, a depraved priest who has lost faith and a dedicated hematologist. Show runner Niccolò Ammanati has managed to create a fantastic contemporary story about faith, power, life and death which grabs you from the very start, unlike anything you’ve seen.
