The idea of the project was first to present the reality of some inhabitants of the Ayersville neighbourhood of Lachute and to show what the Oasis school had done to better exercise its role of providing an education to children whose socio-economic situation might otherwise have condemned them to a poor life. Extending its activity beyond school hours, teachers and leaders of this school have managed to change the outlook of the district and make it a place of mutual help and solidarity.
