Seonhuiwa seulgi

South Korean Park Young-ju has been praised for her short films, and in her captivating feature film debut she explores the mechanisms of lies and the consequences of an endless need of confirmation. The high school student Sunhee coats the truth to become popular among her classmates, but when the lies are uncovered she becomes ostracized. Frustrated, she brands her best friend as a thief. The false accusation leads to terrible consequences, and Sunhee ends up at a children’s home in the countryside. There, she changes her identity and tries to start over with a new name.
