Sinopsis(1)

Oregon’s racist past was, and still is, imprinted on geological and survey maps through its derogatory names for bluffs, mountains, and canyons. In 2014, one such canyon in Jefferson county was officially renamed for John A. Brown, one of first black homesteaders in the state. Despite this positive change, many others are still necessary.
