La Navidad no es igual en todas partes ni para todos. Desde luego no lo es para Alex, Lara, Fedja y el violento Timo, cuatro adolescentes conflictivos, con serios problemas de comportamiento, que la van a pasar juntos a la fuerza, ingresados en una clínica psiquiátrica, bajo los cuidados del joven doctor Wolff, seguro de poder ayudarles consiguiendo que surja entre ellos la amistad y el respeto. Pero las cosas no siempre salen como se espera, y la depresión navideña puede convertir una noche de paz en una tragedia, sobre todo si parte del personal de la clínica no está nada de acuerdo con los métodos liberales del Dr. Wolff. At first glance, 4 Kings has a strong theme and a great cast. Christmas is a holiday of peace and tranquility, but not for the main four characters, who have not been given the best by fate. All four young actors portray their characters really well and their performances are extremely convincing – each had a strong scene. The same goes for Clemens Schick as Dr. Wolff. Still, at some points I felt that the obvious potential was not fully exploited. The wounds of each character's past and present opened up and healed as the story progressed, but in some cases I felt they stayed too close to the surface. Nevertheless, this film still deserves the viewer's attention – if only for the cast.
