Mateřské město

Confrontation of the filmmaker's personal relationship with his hometown, clenched forever in the grasp of the cult of Baťa. A combination of black and white archival material with newly created scenes is deprived of pathos through selective editing and simultaneous narrative commentary. It becomes a metaphorical criticism of modernism, symbolised by the Baťa factories in Zlín and plans for their further expansion. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
